I think there is need to publish more examples of working Rewriter.
I cant't understand how it works.

Examples or instructions, I get the default page and that is all. So a little instruction would be helpful.

Thanks for updating, first line says for Apache only. So it does me no good since I don't use Apache, If I did then I would use the mod_rewrite. I was looking for a solution for us non Apache users.

don't know if it works, you need a webserver where you can define an errorpage and get the $REQUEST_URI.

The htaccess solution is for apache only.

The main argument for writing this class was that my webserver has htaccess, but not a working mod_rewrite.
